SAN ANGELO, Texas – Ryan Greer has been named the Lone Star Conference Diamond Hitter of the Week after blasting three home runs and driving in 12 runs in the Angelo State series sweep of Abilene Christian last weekend at Foster Field.
 
Greer, a junior left fielder, had a six-RBI game in Saturday's first game coming on a three-run home run and three-run triple. He finished the series in style, hitting two home runs in the regular season finale to take his season's total to six home runs.
 
“They were throwing me away with fastballs and coming in with change ups,” said Greer, who leads the conference with 26 stolen bases and finished the regular season with a .355 batting average. “I was lucky enough to put the bat on the ball and drive in some runs.”
 
Greer finished the regular season with a .355 batting average, 40 singles, eight doubles, five triples and six home runs.
