Sally Brooks Steps Down From Angelo State

SAN ANGELO, Texas - Angelo State women's basketball coach Sally Brooks announced today that she has resigned.

Brooks just completed her 13th season at Angelo State and her 22nd season overall and has an overall record of 406-234 and finished with a record of 251-128 at Angelo State.

The Rambelles made seven consecutive trips to the NCAA Division II Tournament from 2002-2008.

Angelo State won four Lone Star Conference South Division titles (2001-03; 2005) and three Lone Star Conference Tournament Championships (2002, 2004-05) and Brooks was named the Lone Star Conference Southern Division Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2005.

Kami Williamson was named the Lone Star Conference South Division Player of the Year in 2003 and Natalja Tsubakova in 2004.

Kylie Nabors and Tsurbakova also earned All-America honors under Brooks.

This year the 'Belles went 14-13, 11-9 in the Lone Star Conference, finished in sixth place in the LSC regular season standings and advanced to the 2013 Lone Star Conference Tournament.
