Final Results
SAN ANTONIO- The Angelo State track and field team collected four NCAA Division II provisional marks Saturday at the Trinity Open in San Antonio.
Hakeem Regis started the day off with a win in the triple jump with his provisional jump of 14.50 meters (47' 7"),
Asael Arad also won the javelin with a provisional toss of 57.13 meters (187' 5"), Emma Thompson won the discus with a provisional throw of 45.54 meters (149' 5") and Lexi Brooks in the 400-meter hurdles clocking in a 1:02.22.
The Rams won eight different events on the day.
Along with Regis and Arad other winners on the day were
Jamin Goecker who won the 1,500-meters and 5,000-meters with times of 4:11.97 and 15:30.25 respectively,
Hagen Kennedy in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.41,
Luis Perez in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.02 (.02 away from a provisional time),
Wala Gime in the 400-meter hurdles with a
time of 55.75 and the men's 4X400-meter relay clocking in a 3:17.15.
The Rambelles walked away with four individual titles on the day.
Along with Thompson and Brooks, Hannah Hartman won the pole vault with a jump of 3.35 meters (10' 11.75"); Kearah Danville won the long jump with a leap of 5.68 meters (18" 7.75"), Ashlie Francis in the shot put with a toss of 12.68 meters (41' 7.25") and Michelle Billingsley in the high jump with a jump of 1.60 meters (5' 3").
Next up for the Rams and Rambelles for indoor is the 2014 LSC Indoor Champioships Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 in Lubbock and outdoor is the Tarleton State Relays Thursday March 6 in Stephenville.
