Shamblen on being named BSN preseason All-American
2010: Made a triumphant return to football after sitting out for three seasons and posted the fifth-best punting average in the nation at 43.39 per kick during the regular season...Selected to the 2010 Daktronics All-America Team, only the fourth punter at ASU to earn All-America distinction...Earned All-LSC South Division First Team honors and was named the top punter on the Daktronics All-Super Region Four First Team...Recognized as LSC South Special Teams Player of the Week (Nov. 1) after launching a career-best 72-yard punt against Abilene Christian...Placed 18 punts inside the 20 and logged 10 kicks of 50 yards or more.
Prior to ASU: Attended Northwest Arkansas Community College but did not play football...Originally signed with Angelo State out of high school and spent one semester as a redshirt on the football team.
High School: Earned all-district honors as a punter and kicker during senior season at Miles High School...Also named All-West Texas punter and kicker...kicked a career-best 60-yard field goal in 2005.
