Ledet is one of only three athletes to have won three NCAA individual championships at Angelo State, winning the indoor title in the shot put in 1980 and 1981 with throws of 59’-8.5” and 60’-11.75” respectively while also claiming the outdoor title in 1980 with a mark of 60’-11.5”. Ledet was also a three-time LSC Champion in the shot put, winning three straight years in 1979, 1980, and 1981. A five-time All-American for the Rams, Ledet is also a member of the Central High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
