Aisha Adams

Senior Aisha Adams arrived at Angelo State last year and had one of the best seasons in ASU women's track history, finishing the 2009 NCAA Division II National Championships as a four-time All-American and the national champion in the heptathlon.

Following the NCAA Championships, Adams participated in the U.S. Outdoor Championships and recorded a personal-best 5, 636 points in the heptathlon, the second-highest total ever by a Rambelle. She was then chosen to represent the United States at the Thorpe Cup in Germany placing second among American participants with 5,616 points.

Adams attended Barton County Community College (Kan.) for one year before coming to San Angelo. A native of Covington, Tenn., she helped the Cougars to the NJCAA Outdoor National Championship while being named the Athlete of the Meet.

Adams was a three-sport athlete at Millington Central High School in Covington, Tenn., and earned letters in basketball and volleyball. She is the daughter of Patricia Adams and is undecided on a major.
