SAN ANGELO – Alex Woolsey has been named the Lone Star Conference's Setter of the Week for the second time this season after two strong performances against Cameron and Midwestern State last weekend.
Woolsey, who won the award five times last season as a junior, had a milestone weekend for the Belles as she passed the 4,000 assists mark in her career in last Friday's win over Cameron. The senior setter continued her strong play on Saturday to help the Belles sweep Midwestern State and finished the weekend with 68 assists to direct ASU which hit .307 as a team. She had 11.33 assists per set and also had 11 digs.

Woolsey and the No. 11 Belles return to action tonight at 7 p.m. against Tarleton State at the Junell Center. Woolsey comes into the match with 4,033 assists in her career and is 753 assists away from Amber Nelson's all-time career record at ASU. Woolsey is only the fifth setter in Angelo State history to reach 4,000 in a career.
