SOSU Moves Into Title Game

Thanks to a two-out RBI single by Jennifer Morales, No. 3 seed Southeastern Oklahoma advanced to the title game of the 2008 NCAA DII South Central Regional Tournament with a 1-0 victory over top-seeded Angelo State.

Morales drilled a single through the left side of the infield scoring pinch runner Kristi Russell to end the stalemate and send the Savage Storm to the final round. Jami McAdoo (24-6) limited Angelo State to just two hits with three strike outs in a complete-game performance.

SOSU (53-10) tied the Lone Star Conference record for wins in a season and will play in the title game at  4 p.m. Saturday against an opponent yet to be determined.

For Angelo State, Kari Galm (32-3) was handed just her third loss of the season as she gave up an unearned run on seven hits with three strike outs. Angelo State fell to 48-11 on the season and will play at 1 p.m. Saturday against winner of tonight's Abilene Christian/St. Edward's game.
