Rams to Host Arlington Baptist on Sunday

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State men's basketball team returns to action at 3 p.m. on Sunday in a non-conference game against Arlington Baptist at Stephens Arena in the Junell Center.

The Rams (1-0) come into the game after opening the season with a 71-65 victory over Lubbock Christian last Saturday in San Angelo. The contest against the Patriots was rescheduled from its original game date because of the Lone Star Conference Volleyball Championship being hosted at ASU.

Angelo State used a strong second half against LCU to get off to a winning start to the season, outscoring the Chaps 40-32 in the final 20 minutes of play. Ryan Marsh and Bryan Hammond led the Rams with 14 points each, while Dakota Rawls added 10 points. Marsh also grabbed nine rebounds and had six blocks and was honored as the LSC's Defensive Player of the Week. ASU led Lubbock Christian 43-36 in rebounding in the game and had a 9-2 blocked-shot advantage.
