SAN ANGELO, Texas – Angelo State head football coach
Will Wagner announced the hiring of
Drew Dallas as recruiting coordinator and offensive assistant.
“I am excited to have Drew,” Wagner said. “When we hired him as a graduate assistant we knew we were getting a guy that had experience coaching college. He comes from a great background with his father being a college coach for many years.”
Dallas spent last season as an offensive graduate assistant for the Rams working with the tight ends. Prior to Angelo State he played and then worked as an assistant coach at Kansas Wesleyan University under his father, Dave Dallas. He played quarterback for two seasons at Kansas Wesleyan and ranks second for career completions and third in passing yards.
“Drew has proven that he is very deserving of this position,” Wagner said. “He has done a tremendous job coaching our players and carrying out his day-to-day responsibilities. Drew is an unbelievable recruiter and will be a valuable asset to the success of this program.”
The Kansas native graduated from Salina Central High, winning back-to-back state titles in 2001 and 2002. He is married to Heather Dallas and the couple has a daughter, Hayden, and is expecting a son in April.
