Despite ASU holding a 6-2-2 all-time advantage over UTPB, the Falcons have won two of the last three meetings. UTPB is the only Heartland Conference team ASU will play in the regular season - as was the case last season. The 2012 team, with five seniors, five juniors, two sophomores and eight freshmen, are a group that has shown defensive dominance in their preseason scrimmages and flashes of offensive skill which could turn ties and narrow losses into victories. ASU follows its game at UTPB with its home opener at 5 p.m. on Saturday at the ASU Soccer Field.
