Rams Host WNMU for Homecoming

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University football team returns home to host Western New Mexico University for homecoming on Saturday, October 12. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.

The Game
Angelo State hosts Western New Mexico on Saturday for homecoming. This will be the fifth meeting in school history on the gridiron between these two teams and ASU leads the series 3-1. These two teams met last season with the Rams shutting out the Mustangs, 52-0.
 
Western New Mexico
The Mustangs come to LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit Union with a 1-4 record on the season and 1-1 in conference action. The Mustangs defeated the University of Texas - Permian Basin, 47-28, to claim their first win of the season. DeAndre Williams rushed for 77 yards on 19 carries with two touchdowns while Reggie Colson III caught seven receptions for 98 yards with two touchdowns in the 47-28 victory.
 
Last Time Out
The Rams traveled to Stephenville, Texas, where they fell to No. 4 Tarleton State, 13-30, for their first loss of the season. Lloyd Howard III led the offense with 133 yards on 21 carries and finished with 160 all-purpose yards. Lawson Ayo brought in five receptions for 58 yards. Ayo also returned two punts for 43 yards to notch a total of 101 all-purpose yards.

Following the game against WNMU, the Rams will head to Canyon, Texas, to take on West Texas A&M on Saturday, October 19. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
