Rams Head to Kingsville for Tournament

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University Rams (3-0) head to Kingsville, Texas, and side step out of conference action to participate in the Thanksgiving Tournament hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville. The Rams will play on Friday, November 29 against Texas A&M-Texarkana and Saturday, November 30 against in-region opponent, Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Series History:
The Rams and Eagles meet for the first time on the court in school history. The Eagles are members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and enter the weekend 3-6 on the season. TAMUT last played in New Orleans, Louisiana against Dillard and fell 97-81.
 
ASU and CSU-Pueblo also meet for the first time on the hardwood in school history. The ThunderWolves are members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and enter the weekend 2-2 on the season. Pueblo earned two big victories over in-region opponents, Cameron and Midwestern State, to start the season. Brandon McGhee leads the ThunderWolves offense with 62 points and a 15.5 average. Donovan Oldham leads the defense with 29 rebounds and a 7.3 average.
 
Last Time Out:
The Blue and Gold hosted Lone Star Conference opponent Lubbock Christian on Saturday, November 23 and defeated the Chaparrals, 73-63. Ronald Bell and Andres Ibarguen led the Rams with double-doubles to help claim the victory. Bell registered 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Ibarguen notched 14 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. Jeremy Hayes contributed to the offense with 11 points.
 
Up Next:
Following the Thanksgiving Tournament, the Rams return home to continue conference play hosting Tarleton State on Thursday, December 5 followed by Dallas Baptist University on Saturday, December 7. Saturday's contest will be military appreciation day and all active military personnel and their dependents, veterans and retirees will receive free admission to both the men's and women's games with military ID. Tipoff on Thursday is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday for 4 p.m.
