DALLAS, Texas - The Angelo State women's soccer team earned a point on the road against No. 13 Dallas Baptist this afternoon, the match resulting in a scoreless draw with Belles only having two shots compared to the Lady Patriots 22.

The Rambelles fall to 4-6-4 overall and 3-2-3 in Lone Star Conference play. The Patriots would fall to 6-0-4 overall and 3-0-3 in LSC action.

The Lady Patriots back line was able to lockdown the Belles attack in the first half, not allowing a single shot. The Belles would not record their first shot of the game until the 52nd minute when
Grace Jordan was able to get a shot on goal from outside the box that the Lady Patriots keeper Carmen Lopez saved.Â

The Rambelles would record there second shot of the game in the 76 minute with a shot by
Mariah Griffin that was off target.

The Rambelles defense faced 16 shots in the first half, with a strong effort the Belles werre able to keep the score tied 0-0 going into halftime. In the second half, the defense only faced six shots.Â

The best look for the Lady Patriots would come in the 11th minute when Taylor Tufts' Penalty kick was saved by
Amber Lockwood to keep the game scoreless.

Amber Lockwood recorded her fifth clean sheet of the season, gathering four saves on the day.Â

One yellow card would be assessed for each team, one in the 54th minute for
Katelin Heise and the other in the 60th minute for Elise Borders.

After that, I was really pleased with our tactical flexibility, the adjustments that were asked for - were implemented by the girls very well. It's a gritty Performance by the team, and even though we only get a point for the tie - these are the moments where true belief begins to grow roots within a team. I'm impressed with the girl's work rate today and our defending overall".
