From Travis McCorkle, Katelin Heise, and Madison Maxey: Q" What are your thoughts on the contest? T: "I thought that we started off really well scoring the first goal on that olympico from Sanai. I thought the energy was great, being tied with them 1-1 going into halftime. I don't know it was the opposition or the altitude, but we did not have the second half that we wanted. I thought that we had some chances in with about 15 minutes left, Heise and Maxey were winning the ball back and trying to give us chances. We have a young front line in
Kailee Meyer,
Sanai Stewart, and
Madison Bourzikas I thought that they did great they give problems to a lot of teams out there. I thought
Wrilyn Shippey put in a great shift helping us at Center Back.
Q: What has this season meant to you as both of yall being in your final year and team captains? K: "we have played here for five years, we have been in the postseason every year that we have been here, it's one of those games that you never know when it's going to be the end. This team has something special where we played all 90 minutes. It is one thing about this team they never give up as leader you hope your team is like that, I think our team has that ability and fight to go out and get what they want next year.
M: I would agree I'm proud of this team and everything we have done we have never gone this far, so we have had to push even harder, regardless of the result we did that. I think that this team is going to be amazing next year and put Angelo State on the map. I'm excited to see what we do in the future; I know I'm leaving but I am so proud of how far we came and this family that I am always going to have.Â
