Canyon, Texas – The Angelo State softball team jumped out to an early lead and shut down the high-powered West Texas A&M offense for five-plus innings, however, the top seed in the region came back to win 3-1 and ended the Rambelles' season in the process.

Cheyenne Floyd held the Lady Buffs' offense in check for the first 5.2 innings before the hosts responded with a two-out rally that plated the winning three runs in the game.
Both seniors in the starting lineup – Garcia and
Ashton Dirner – recorded hits in their final collegiate game, while Tanner recorded the lineup's multi-hit game.
Floyd took the loss despite only allowing five hits and three runs inside the circle.
The Rambelles end the season with a 37-18 record, an eight-win improvement from last season.
