Hear from Travis McCorkle: Q: What are some strategies that you think worked well with the ASU team?
A: I think that the physicality for Lubbock Christian was something that we discussed at halftime, and the way they play is direct. I felt like we did good with the physicality in the second half, winning the headers, but sometimes we didn't, and I felt like there was a sense of panic. It's a lot of young players, a lot of returners from last year, but some of them are new to starting. We have a lot of freshmen and new players on the team, and we are trying to help them adapt to the style of that play. I think that we need to be better at attacking, if that is servicing the wings or opening up and combining with the forward a second time. In the final third, we have to do better with the quality of our shots.Â
