The Rambelles play Embry-Riddle on Friday evening before playing Florida Tech in a doubleheader on Saturday and facing Rollins on Sunday in a pair of games.

The Rambelles went 4-1 last weekend as they hosted the 2026 George and Ola McCorkle Challenge presented by West Texas Steel. After dropping their opening game 2-0 to Missouri Western, the Rambelles won the final four games by a combined score of 31-1.

SIFUENTES NAMED LSC FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Zoey Sifuentes was named the LSC Freshman of the Week for her performance at the George and Ola McCorkle Challenge presented by West Texas Steel. The Lamesa product hit .500 with a .706 on-base percentage and an .800 slugging percentage. On the season, Sifuentes' six doubles are tied for the league lead, and she ranks third in the league with a 1.549 OPS.

TROTTER NAMED LSC PRESEASON OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Tatiana Trotter was selected as the conference's preseason player of the year, as voted on by the league's coaches, SIDs, and media members. Trotter, an Intelligence and Analysis student from Lubbock, is coming off a season in which she hit .330 with 14 home runs and 47 RBI. She slugged .648 and had a .449 on-base percentage. Trotter also notched seven assists from the outfield en route to being named an LSC Golden Glove winner. The senior was also a third-team Academic All-American selection last season.

SCOUTING EMBRY-RIDDLE
Embry-Riddle is 3-3 on the season; their lone common opponent with the Rambelles is Mississippi College, which defeated the Eagles 6-4 last week. The Eagles have claimed wins over Southern Wesleyan, West Alabama, and Georgia College. The Eagles are hitting .260 this season and average just under four runs per game. Leah Oberkehr leads the team with a .450 average, and Emma Wood leads the squad with three extra-base hits. The Eagles' pitching staff owns a 3.17 ERA, having struck out 26 batters in 42 innings. Olivia Doughtery leads the team with 16 strikeouts in 18.1 innings, and Shelby Morse has a .200 opponent batting average. This is the first-ever matchup between the Eagles and the Rambelles.

SCOUTING FLORIDA TECH
Florida Tech is 5-1-1 on the season, with its lone loss coming to top-ranked Auburn Montgomery in extra innings to begin the season. The Panthers have claimed a pair of ranked wins, defeating No. 18 Rogers State and No. 6 North Georgia. The Panthers are hitting .299 on the season, led by Emma Chisholm's .500 average. Chisholm leads the team with three home runs and nine runs driven in. The Panthers' pitchers have a 1.75 ERA and have struck out 43 batters in 48 innings. Kelsey Hahn is 2-0 with a 1.47 ERA; the sophomore from Orlando has recorded 20 punchouts in 19 innings. The Rambelles are 6-1 all-time against Florida Tech and 4-1 on the Panthers' home field.

SCOUTING ROLLINS
Rollins is 2-0 on the season, sweeping Flagler College in a doubleheader on January 30th. They outscored Flagler 11-2 over the two games. The Tars are hitting .316 as a team, paced by Brianna Perantoni's .750 average. Marisa Edevane is responsible for the Tars' lone home run, and Rachel Matthiesen leads the team with three RBI. Reese Twiggs and Camila Leon-Blanco started in the circle for the Tars against Flagler. Leon-Blanco only allowed two hits in four innings while striking out three.

RAMBELLES PICKED THIRD IN LSC PRESEASON POLL
The Rambelles were picked to repeat their third-place finish in the LSC Preseason poll, as voted on by the league's coaches, SIDs, and media members. The Rambelles received a pair of first-place votes and tallied 753 total points. Two-time defending champions UT Tyler were picked to repeat as conference champions with 849 total points and 39 of 51 first-place votes. West Texas A&M received eight first-place votes and 817 total points. Oklahoma Christian and Lubbock Christian each received a first-place vote to round out the top five. Cameron, Eastern New Mexico, St. Edward's, and St. Mary's round out the top nine in what would fill the spots for the LSC Tournament.

25 YEARS OF RAMBELLES SOFTBALL
The Angelo State softball program is playing its 25th season of Division II softball this season. The Rambelles hold a record of 997-363-1 since the 2002 season. In that time, the Rambelles have qualified for 19 NCAA Tournaments, winning six South Central regional championships, the 2004 National Championship, and finishing as the National Runners-Up in 2017.

RETURNING STATS
The Rambelles' lineup only returns 364 of their 1,535 at-bats from a season ago, with
Tatiana Trotter and
Abby Brand the only mainstays returning from last season's lineup. In the circle,
Bri Waters is the lone holdover from last season's pitching staff. All in all, 14 new faces will suit up for the Rambelles in 2026.
