No. 10 Rambelles Drop Pair of Games to Javelinas

Kingsville, Texas – The Angelo State softball team dropped both of its games this afternoon to Texas A&M-Kingsville at Vernie and Hubert Blanche Field as the Javelinas won game one 5-3 before ending the day with an 8-2 win in game two.

The Rambelles opened the scoring in game one with an Abby Brand solo home run in the second inning.

Ashleigh Dendas would tack on two runs the following inning with a single.

The hosts would score once in the third and twice in both the fourth and fifth innings to claim the 5-3 win.

The Hogs would score first in game two, pushing a run across in the second inning.

The Rambelles scored twice to take the lead, drawing four walks and scoring on a sacrifice fly.

The Javelinas scored five runs in the bottom of the inning and tacked on two runs the following inning.

The Rambelles are now 27-8 on the season and 16-4 in conference play. They are back in action next week with home-and-home doubleheaders against UT Permian Basin.
