Canyon, Texas – The Angelo State softball team's 2026 campaign came to an end on Saturday afternoon at Schaeffer Park as the Rambelles fell to Texas A&M-Kingsville 8-5.
The Javelinas kicked off the two teams' seventh meeting of the season by scoring a run in the top of the first, but the Rambelles worked out of a bases-loaded jam to only allow the lone run.
Karli Manney led the bottom of the first off with a ground-rule double before scoring on a wild pitch.
The Javelinas struck for four runs in the top of the second inning, with the scoreline staying there until the bottom of the fifth.

Tatiana Trotter, who homered to deep left field to cut the deficit to a lone run.
Larryn Feuge led the bottom of the sixth off with a solo home run to tie the game up.
TAMUK would lead off the top of the seventh with a home run before striking for two more runs.
In their final collegiate games, senior Trotter went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a double, while Manney went 1-for-4 with the leadoff double.
For the second-straight season, the Rambelles finish with a 47-14 overall record while claiming their eighth overall LSC Tournament title and ASU's first LSC Tournament championship since 2018.
