LUBBOCK, Texas - The Angelo State Women's soccer team fell to Lubbock Christian 2-0 in Lubbock on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Rambelles fall to 1-5-2 on the season and 0-3-1 in Lone Star Conference action.
The Lady Chaps would get on the board first in the matchup off the right foot of Logan Holloway.
In the 27th minute, the Belles would have their first real chance after great build-up play from the midfield.
Addison Brown would send a shot from the right side of the field that would bounce off the Lubbock Christian keeper and go right to Lawrencia Yebobah, where she would send the shot over the goal.
The Belles would be down 1-0 heading into halftime.
The Belles would have most of the possession in the second half until the 79th minute, when
Makenna Deily would commit a penalty in the box, giving the Lady Chaps a penalty kick. Kali Guy would line up for that penalty kick, and she would end up being successful, giving the Lady Chaps the 2-0 win
The Belles would have seven shots with five of them being on target compared to the 10 with five being on target compared to the Lady Chaps.
The Belles will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 26, when they travel to Austin to take on St. Edward's, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
