GUNNISON, COLO - The Angelo State Women's Soccer team fell to Western Colorado 4-5 Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Rambelles move to 1-2-1 on the year heading into Lone Star Conference action.
Adah Minikel-Lacocque recorded the first goal of the contest in the 22nd minute to give the Mountaineers the 1-0 lead.
Ohama Saya would score a goal less than a minute later to give Western Colorado a 2-0 lead/
Juliana Garcia would record her second and third goals of the year to tie the match 2-2 with 12 minutes left remaining in the first half.
Right before halftime, Korinne Hayes would score the third goal for Western Colorado giving them a 3-2 lead heading into halftime.
Ohama Saya would open the scoring in the second when she scored in the 53rd minute to give the Mountaineers a 4-2 lead.
Carly Martinez would then fire back, giving the Rambelles a goal in the 58th minute, her first of the year to bring the deficit 4-3.
Garica would record her third goal of the contest, recording her first career hat trick, and tied the game 4-4.
In the 69th minute, Natsuki Murakmi scored Western Colorado's fifth goal, giving them the win.
Both teams had 18 shots. The Belles had eight on target, while the Mountaineers had 7 on target.
The Belles had two saves, one in the first half and one in the second half.
The Belles look to get back on track as they travel to UT Dallas on Wednesday, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m.
