Biography

2009: Started all 11 games at quarterback as a junior. finished the season completing 242 of 388 passes for 2,933 yards and 25 touchdowns. established new ASU season passing records for completions, attempts, touchdowns, completion percentage (62.4), yardage and average yards per game (266.6 YPG). set school season record with 2,895 yards of total offense. tied ASU single-game record with 29 completions and had a career-high 47 attempts and 403 yards at Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 3. had four games with three or more touchdown passes including a school-record tying six versus Southwestern Oklahoma on Sept. 12. had six touchdown passes of 40 yards or longer including a season-long 81 yarder at Southeastern Oklahoma on Oct. 17. rushed for a season-high 39 yards versus Tarleton State on Oct. 31. earned an All-LSC honorable mention selection while also being named to the South division All-Academic team. named LSC South Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 14.

2008: Injured in the first game of the season and earned medical hardship. was 18-for-25 for 213 yards and two touchdowns at Texas State on Aug. 30.

2007: Started all 10 games at quarterback as a sophomore. threw for 1,901 yards and seven touchdowns. completed 156-of-290 attempts for a 53.8 completion percentage. had three games of 200 or more yards. had season-best 325 yards on 24-of-41 passing at East Central on Sept. 8. his 24 completions against ECU were also a season high. had season-high two touchdown tosses at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 10. threw career-long 84-yard pass against Abilene Christian on Oct. 13. had career-long run of 25 yards against Central Oklahoma. rushed for a career-best 51 yards on five carries against UCO.

2006: Appeared in five games as the back-up quarterback. completed 46.8 percent of his passes for 182 yards. went 18-for-32 with season-high 155 yards against ECU.

2005: Redshirted.

High School: Two-time first team all-district selection at Winnsboro High School. left WHS as school’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes. also lettered in baseball, basketball and golf for the Red Raiders. first team all-district pick in both baseball and basketball…Led golf team to four straight district titles and a regional championship.

Born Dec. 2, 1986. son of William and Harrisa Neiswander. earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in spring 2009. working toward a master’s in business administration.
