Biography

2009: Played in all 11 games with three starts at linebacker as a junior. finished the season with 36 tackles, one for a loss, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup. had a season-high 11 tackles at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Nov. 5.

2008: Played in eight games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams as a sophomore. saw limited action due to injury.

2007: Played in seven games at linebacker as a redshirt freshman. had nine tackles, including two solo stops. had one interception and one pass break-up. had season-best six stops, including a tackle for a loss and an interception at East Central on Sept. 8.

2006: Redshirted.

High School: Earned all-district honors at Shoemaker High School. named team Defensive MVP as a senior. first team academic all-district. also lettered in track, running hurdles for the Grey Wolves.

Personal: Born Jan. 25, 1988. son of Anthony and Rhonda Mayse. major is finance.
