2011: Started all 11 games at defensive tackle ... Recorded a season-high six tackles against Western State and Texas A&M-Kingsville ... Registered three half sacks and a fumble ... Made 6.5 tackles for loss during the season.

Prior to ASU: A two-year starter at defensive tackle for Mt. San Jacinto (Calif.) Community College…A Southern California Football Association First Team All-Conference selection…Registered 52 tackles, 13.5 for loss, and 5.5 sacks…Also blocked a field goal.

High School: A three-year letter winner as offensive and defensive lineman at West Valley High School…A three-time all-league and all-valley selection for the Mustangs…Served as the team captain and was named the defensive MVP…Also competed for two years on the track team as a thrower.

Personal: Son of Ken and Meredith Patterson…Cousin, Elton Patterson, played collegiately at Central Florida before going on to a career with the Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL…Plans to major in kinesiology.
