Personal: Son of Jody and Kevin Cavanaugh. Has two sisters, Kailey and Kaycee. His father played football at Blinn, his mom was a basketball player at Mary Hardin-Baylor, his sister Kailey plays volleyball at East Texas Baptist and his grandfather played basketball at Tarleton.High School: Coached by Ronnie Porter at Troy ... All-State honorable mention at offensive line ... Waco Trib Centex second team offensive lineman ... Waco Trib Centex honorable mention defensive lineman ... Two-time first team all-district defensive end ... Named all-district on offense and defense all three years on varsity ... 2016 All-Central Texas team as offensive tackle and defensive line ... Regional qualifier in shot put in 2016.
