Anthony Lewis

Angelo State head coach Will Wagner has announced the hiring of former Ram alum Anthony Lewis as the new assistant coach for the offensive line.

"We are excited to have Anthony as a part of the Ram Fam," Wagner said. "He was a big part of establishing our culture and building this program. We are excited to have him continue as our offensive line coach. His passion, excitement and enthusiasm will be a great addition to the team."

Lewis has spent the last three seasons as a student assistant and graduate assistant for Angelo State. While a graduate assistant, the San Antonio native helped with the offensive line and tight ends.

Lewis played for ASU in 2012 and 2013 on the offensive line. He was a Don Hansen third team All-Super Region Four selection and a first team All-LSC selection in 2013. He helped the Ram offense break the ASU single season record for total yards per game average with 457.9. Lewis helped pave the way for Kyle Washington to become the first player to pass for at least 2,000-yards and rush for at least 1,000-yards in a single season. In 2013, Lewis also helped ASU for the most rushing yards in a single season at 3,034 yards.
