2009: Appeared in six games off the bench in the defensive line as a junior.

Prior to ASU: Played two seasons on the defensive line at Trinity Valley Community College.

High School: Three-sport standout at Somerset (N.J.) Kennedy High School. earned all-state honors in track. State champion triple jumper as a senior for the Mustangs.

Personal: Born Sept. 11, 1988. son of Reginald Matthews and Diana Rosenbaum.
