Biography
2013: Qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in the Discus where the Plainview native finished 10th overall. Finished second in the Javelin (195’10”) (59.69 meters) and third in the Discus (174’7”) (53.22 meters) at the 2013 LSC Outdoor Championships. Threw for a career-best in the hammer throw with a toss of 162’.00” (49.39 meters). Named to the 2013 All-Conference Team and the USTFCCCA South Central All-Region Team (Discus and Javelin).
2012: National qualifier in the discus ... Scored points in the javelin and discus at the Lone Star Conference Championships ... Set personal-best marks in the discus(53.92m), hammer (47.87m) and the javelin (60.00m) ... Finished in the top five in 10 events ... Placed 16th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
2011: Recorded top eight finishes in the hammer and discus at the LSC Outdoor Championships ... Career-best throw of 37’-6.50” (11.45m) in the shot put and 139’-0” (42.37m) in the discus ... Threw season best in the discus 155’-4” (47.34m) at LSC Outdoor Championships
High School: Named track team’s “Top Dog” - the team’s most valuable player - as a senior...As a senior, claimed district and regional titles while qualifying for the state meet... A regional qualifier in 2009... Also played football and was team captain for the Bulldogs his junior and senior seasons.
