2010: Started all 65 games as a junior...Finished second on the team in batting average at .403 (85-for-211) and set a single-season school record for doubles with 22...Had eight home runs with a slugging percentage of .630 and on-base percentage of .451...Scored 37 times and knocked in 59 RBIs...Earned first-team all-conference honors as a second baseman for the Rambelles...Named a first-team all-america selection...Dean also earned CoSIDA/ESPN All-America Second Team honors and touted as the Lone Star Conference South Division Academic Player of the the Year.


2009: Appeared in all 60 games with 58 starts as a sophomore…Finished second on the team with 73 hits and third on the team with a .378 batting average…Notched 18 doubles, 49 RBI and 112 total bases…Named first team all-region and third team All-America by the NFCA…Tabbed LSC South Division Academic Player of the Year…Named to ESPN the Magazine’s Academic All-District team…Also named to Daktronics all-region first team and first team All-LSC South Division…Scored a season-high four runs at West Texas A&M on March 22…Recorded a season-high four hits vs. St. Mary’s on March 19…Drove in a season-high five RBI vs. Abilene Christian on April 4 and vs. Emporia State on May 9…Named LSC South Hitter of the Week on April 7…Had a career-long 16-game hitting streak.

2008: Earned All-LSC South honorable mention as a true freshman…Only player to start all 60 games for the Rambelles…Hit .321 with eight doubles and two home runs…Had 36 RBI and 32 runs scored…Tallied season-high four RBI against Texas-Permian Basin on Feb. 1.

High School: Three-time first team all-district selection at Collinsville High School…Named to TGCA All-Stars and first team all-state by Texas Sports Writers Association as a senior…Guided Pirates to state title game as a junior and was named to the all-tournament team…Guided CHS to regional finals as a sophomore…Played club ball for Texas Elite…Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born Sept. 21, 1989…Daughter of John and Kim Dean…Member of the ASU Honors Program…Major is psychology with a minor in criminal justice.

“Alix was a huge part of our team’s success in 2009 and 2010. She is a two-time All-American that will lead our team on and off the field this year. A great person that gives us a solid defensive player and a dangerous left-handed bat to the line-up. On top of that, she is an academic role model for all of our players!”
