Katie Scott

Katie Scott is in her 19th season as part of the Angelo State Softball program and 13th as associate head coach.
 
While on the ASU coaching staff, the Rambelles have hoisted four NCAA Division II South Central Regional trophies with four trips to the NCAA DII National Championships, including the 2017 team that finished as the National Runner-up. Katie has helped guide ASU to six LSC Conference Championships while working primarily with pitchers and outfielders. Under her guidance as pitching coach, ASU has had five All-American selections, 16 All-Region selections, five LSC Pitchers of the Year, one LSC Newcomer of the Year, and 18 LSC All-Conference pitchers.
 
Katie and head coach Travis Scott was honored as the NFCA Division II South Central Regional Coaching Staff of the Year in 2017 and 2018 after guiding the team to back-to-back National Tournament appearances. She was also a part of the 2009 South Central Regional Coaching Staff of the Year.
 
Katie joined the Rambelles coaching staff before the 2008 season after a standout collegiate playing career at Florida Tech. In four seasons, the former Katie Naumoff posted a .351 career batting average and was a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference pick for the Panthers. During her junior season, she led the Panthers with a .409 batting average and was named first-team All-South Region by the NFCA.
 
Scott was named to the SSC Silver Anniversary Softball Team and selected as one of the top 31 softball players over the Sunshine State Conference’s first 25 years of competition in softball. An excellent student at Florida Tech, Katie was selected to the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll for three seasons and graduated cum laude.
 
A native of Poland, Ohio, she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida Tech in 2007 and a master’s degree from ASU in 2009. Katie is married to head softball coach Travis Scott, and they welcomed son Taten James Scott in July 2019.
