Maddison Schofield

Maddison Schofield enters her second season as a graduate assistant for the Rambelle softball program.

A native of Perth, Australia, Schofield joined head coach Travis Scott’s staff from Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas, where she was an assistant coach for one season.

Schofield also worked as a softball instructor in Borger, teaching proper softball mechanics and skills to girls aged 8-16 in the Borger area. She also worked as a student assistant softball coach in her native Australia.

Schofield joined the coaching ranks following a prolific playing career at Texas A&M International, in which she was a two-time selection to the Heartland Conference First Team. She hit .326 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs in her senior season to be named the 2019 Heartland Conference Player of the Year. The year prior, she hit six home runs and drove in 34 runs while hitting .311 at the plate to be named the Heartland Conference Newcomer of the Year.

Before her time in Laredo, Schofield played at Barton Community College in Kansas, where she played in 59 games as a sophomore, hitting .436 with 19 doubles, six home runs, and 55 RBIs.

A two-sport athlete, Schofield also excelled on the soccer pitch, playing one season at Texas A&M International, leading the team with six goals scored, and was named the team’s offensive player of the year. At Barton, she scored 15 goals and assisted four times in 16 matches, scoring five goals against Pratt Community College in a 9-0 victory.

Currently pursuing her Master of Education, Coaching, Sport, Recreation, & Fitness Administration from Angelo State, Schofield graduated from Texas A&M International in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.
