High School: Tanner was a two-time all-district selection at Troy HS...was named the Newcomer of the Year in 2019 and a First Team All-District selection in 2021...also lettered in volleyball, being named academic all-district three times...was second team all-district in volleyball in 2019 and was the defensive player of the year in 2020...was a two-time regional finalist in track. 

Personal: Layni is the daughter of Brandon Chrissy Tanner...has one brother, Brenden...majoring in Kinesiology.
