Biography
2011: Ran in four of six events on the year...Had a season-best time of 22:09 at the Islander Spalsh meet and finished in 48th...Best finish was a 37th place standing at the ASU Blue and Gold meet crossing the line with a time of 22:15.19.
2010: Ran for a season-best 23:50 at the ACU Invitational to finish fifth for the Rambelles…Led the Belles with a 34th place finish at the Bear Twilight…Helped Angelo State win its home meet running for 20:21.49 and a sixth place finish at the ASU Blue and Gold Classic.
High School: Two time Female MVP at East Bernard High School and 2009 Academic All-State selection....A regional qualifier in track and cross country from 2007-09...Finished second in both the 1600- and 3200-meter runs as a junior at the District 26-2A Championships...Named to the 2009 All-State Team in cross country.
Personal: Born May 19, 1992...Daughter of Michael and Marian Merritt...Father played football at Texas State and grandfather, William, played basketball at Baylor and Southwestern...Major is physical therapy.
