Mendel made an immediate impact for the Angelo State soccer team, staring 10 games and playing in 16 of the 18 games during its championship season… Mendel made her first start of her career in the fourth game of the season against Fort Lewis College and took three corner kicks during her freshman season… She finished the season with seven shots with two being on goal.. She had shots on goal against Oklahoma Christian and West Texas A&M.
