High School: Two time Female MVP at East Bernard High School and 2009 Academic All-State selection....A regional qualifier in track and cross country from 2007-09...Finished second in both the 1600- and 3200-meter runs as a junior at the District 26-2A Championships...Named to the 2009 All-State Team in cross country.

Personal: Born May 19, 1992...Daughter of Michael and Marian Merritt...Father played football at Texas State and grandfater, William, played basketball at Baylor and Southwestern...Major is physical therapy.
