Ashley Gasaway enters her first season at Angelo State for the 2025 campaign.
Gasaway comes to Angelo State from Austin Peay University, where she worked primarily with the Governors' setters and handled offensive strategy.
Gasaway spent the 2023 season at UNC Greensboro, where she trained serving and contributed to in-game defensive systems. Off the court, she was in charge of all travel operations, assisted with opponent scouting, and recruited future Spartans.
In the 2022 season, she served as a volunteer assistant coach at Western Carolina University as they reached the 20-win mark for the first time since the 2002 season. Gasaway worked with the Catamounts' setters while completing operational and administrative tasks. Under Gasaway, fifth-year senior Merry Gebel earned AVCA All-American and Southern Conference (SoCon) Player of the Year honors. The Catamounts played in the postseason for the first time in program history, advancing to the quarterfinals of the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) Tournament.
Gasaway worked as a JV coach at Brookwood (Ga.) High School from fall 2020 to spring 2022.
Gasaway has previously worked in club volleyball with the Alliance Volleyball Club in Franklin, Tenn., where she was the head coach for the 16-Local team, which won the St. Paddy's Day Tournament. She also assisted with position training for teams 12s-18s. In addition, she was a coach at Aftershock Volleyball Club in Loganville, Ga., where she served as a master coach, director of development, head and assistant coach from 2017-22. She is a summer camp coach for Gold Medal Squared, where she has worked since 2022.
Gasaway was a member of the Point University Volleyball program in 2014-15 before transferring to Kennesaw State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations in 2018.
