Brent Seals joins the Angelo State University Department of Athletic Communications in October of 2026 following 16 years as a member of the West Texas A&M University Athletic Administration staff. A Canyon, Texas, native, Seals was promoted to Director of Athletic Communications at WT in the summer of 2021 after serving three seasons as the Director of Digital Media and Creative Content.
During his time at West Texas A&M, Seals oversaw media relations and publicity efforts for Buffalo Football, Lady Buff Volleyball, men's and women's golf, Lady Buff Basketball and Buffalo Baseball. He also directed the department's graphic design, video production and branding efforts while assisting with game-day operations across all sports and overseeing the day-to-day aspects of the department's communications operations.
Throughout his tenure at WT, Seals helped support the university's hosting of NCAA regional competition in football, volleyball, cross country, women's basketball, women's soccer, women's golf, men's basketball, baseball and softball, in addition to numerous Lone Star Conference Championship events.
Seals served as the primary communications contact for WT Softball during its run to the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship. He also oversaw the department's coverage of the NCAA Division II Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships in 2018 and 2026.
In June 2026, Seals was named a finalist for the inaugural FloCollege/College Sports Communicators Spotlight Award. He also serves as the South Central Regional Coordinator for the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Baseball All-American Committee and as a voting member of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Central Regional Committee.
