Kingsville scored first in the second frame, taking a 2-0 advantage on a pair of ASU miscues. Angelo State held the lead for the rest of the set as the Belles' offense hit .357 and notched 12 kills to take a 25-13 win over the visiting Javelinas.
Angelo State stayed hot going into the third set as the Belles began the frame with a 4-0 lead. ASU never trailed in the final set hitting .355 with 13 kills and just two attack errors. The Belle defense was solid and forced TAMUK into a negative hitting percentage (-.097). The Belles dominated in the third set coasting to a 19-point win (25-6).
