SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State women's basketball team will welcome Tarleton State tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.at Stephens Arena in the Junell Center. Fans who bring a new unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots campaign will receive two tickets for the price of one.
The Belles moved to 4-3 and 2-0 in LSC after defeated West Texas A&M 76-71 on Saturday night. It is the first time Angelo State has been 2-0 in conference play since the 2005-2006 season and the first time the Belles have defeated West Texas A&M since the 2004-2005 season.
Leah LeMaire is the team's leading scorer at 12.2 per game while
Haylee Oliver is averaging 12.5 points per game.
Lauren Holt is averaging a double-double this season with 11.9 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game. The junior is leading the LSC in blocks per game with 2.3.
The Belles are the league leader in field goal percentage defense and defensive rebounds. Head coach Sally Walling Brooks recorded her 396 career victory on Saturday.
ASU holds a 22-20 advantage in the overall series with the TexAnns. Tarleton State has a record of 3-2 and 1-0 in LSC play. TSU was two of three games last season.
