ANGELO STATE VOLLEYBALL
SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team returned to the practice court on Monday to begin its second week of preseason practices. The Belles went through workouts in the morning and afternoon and continued focusing on drills and conditioning.

"We don't want to over-train," ASU head coach Chuck Waddington said, "but at the same time we want to make sure that we maximize our opportunities to be in the gym.”

ASU will continue its practice schedule this weekend with its next scrimmage scheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Hardin-Simmons in the Junell Center. Angelo State is coming off a 31-6 record in 2011 and won their first NCAA Division II tournament match in 20 seasons. The Belles open their season at the Rattler-Hilltopper Classic on Aug. 31 with a doubleheader against Southeastern Oklahoma and St. Mary's in San Antonio.
