STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton State stormed back from a 2-0 deficit against the Angelo State volleyball team to take a 3-2 (18-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-11) Lone Star Conference win over the Belles in the regular-season finale on Saturday at Wisdom Gym.
"You can't relax up 2-0 on a team that is desperate for a win," ASU head coach
Chuck Waddington said. "It cost us today."
The Belles (21-8, 11-5 LSC) saw a 10-match winning streak over Tarleton State (15-13, 8-8 LSC) end and the TexAnns also snapped a three-match losing streak they had going into the finale. ASU will now enter the Lone Star Conference tournament next week as the No. 3 seed where it will play Midwestern State at noon on Thursday at the WTAMU Fieldhouse.
Arielle Bond led Angelo State with 22 kills and hit .227 in the match, while

The loss following a 2-0 set advantage is the first for the Belles this season. The TexAnns finished game with a .215 hitting percentage and both teams finished with seven blocks each. ASU and TSU split their regular season series after the Belles swept the Texans at the Junell Center earlier this season.
