SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State women's basketball team will be after its third-straight win on Friday, Dec. 12 against McMurry at Kimbrell Arena in Abilene at 5:30 p.m.
The Belles are 3-5 overall after winning three of their last four games and outscoring opponents by 10.0 points. ASU has limited teams to just 32.8-percent over the last four games while making 43.8-percent from the field. The free throw line has been helpful with the Belles averaging 16.3 makes per game in the last four games. The turnovers have dropped to 16.3 compared to the Belles season average of 18.8.
On the season, the Belles have scored 63.9 points per game while opponents are averaging 64.1. ASU's defense has been holding teams to 36.5-percent shooting and 27.7-percent from behind the arc. The field goal defense is currently No. 2 in the LSC. Opponents are turning the ball over at 14.9 per game but do generate 9.8 steals per game.
ASU is 0-1 on the road this year with the loss being a 67-62 setback at St. Mary's.
Jasmine Caston, who is No. 2 in the LSC in scoring at 16.4 points per game, is averaging 18.3 in her last four games. She has scored in double figures in seven of the team's eight games and has a streak of five-straight games in double-digit points. She leads the Belles in steals with 11 and has recorded 14 assists.
Jasmine Patterson has played her best basketball as of late. She is averaging 8.8 over the last four games but has scored 15 and 14 in the last two wins. The Frisco native is scored 8.4 points per game with 3.8 rebounds coming off the bench for the Belles.
Twin sister
Jackie Patterson is averaging 11.3 points per game for the season. She has improved her play with a 13.0 scoring average, four blocks, 6.3 rebounds and three assists in the last four games. The Frisco native has one double-double of the season and five games in double figures.
Amanda Weaver scored a season-high 14 points in the win over St. Edward's. She hit four 3-pointers and is the Belles top threat from behind the arc hitting 44-percent. She leads the team with 19 assists and 13 of the assists have come in the last four games.
Shauna Coleman only played in two of the last four games but made an impact in both. She scored 8.5 points per game and grabbed 5.5 rebounds. She is averaging 8.2 points per game this season. The freshman currently leads the LSC by hitting 90.5-percent from the free throw line. The Lipan native has recorded double figures in three games this season.
Diamalises Rivera is averaging 4.9 points and has started the last five games for the Belles. Her season of high of 11 points came on the road against St. Mary's.
Michelle Rosewell and
Elaine Herrera are tied for second on the team with 14 assists.

Shanna Taylor and
Kylie Rollman have all provided depth from the bench this season.
This game will be a rematch with McMurry after facing them on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The War Hawks were limited to 28.3-percent shooting while the Belles had four score in double figures.
Jasmine Patterson scored a season-high 15 points in the 65-48 victory. McMurry is 1-8 on the season with the lone win coming against Adams State.
