No. 11 Rambelles Sweep ENMU to Stay on Top of LSC

The Rambelles are now 31-9 overall with a nine-game conference winning streak and are leading the LSC by one game with a record of 16-3. ENMU falls to 11-30 overall and 1-18 in the LSC.

Sandra Serna came out in game one of the doubleheader and limited the Zias to three hits through the first five innings.

The Rambelles grabbed run support early. Micherie Koria hit an RBI double and would score on a single from Kenedy Urbany for a 2-0 lead after one inning.

Tina Cisneros doubled in the fourth and scored on a single by Ambra Hill. Koria added two more RBIs with another single single that scored Carly Peters and Hill to make it 5-0.
Kenedy Urbany blasted a solo homer to right center to extend the lead to 6-0. It is the freshman's eighth home run of the season.

ENMU got on the board in the sixth with two runs. The Rambelles answered with two runs in the bottom of the sixth as Hill and Spearman both scored on back-to-back sacrifice flies by Koria and Dunn.

Urabany was one of the highlights of game two. The freshman pitched her first career shutout limiting the Zias to just three hits while striking out two. She is now 15-2 on the season.

The Rambelles respond at the plate with four runs in the first. Spearman led off the game with a walk and now has reached base safely in 33-straight games and 38 out of 40 total games this season. Urbany hit two-RBI double to help her cause before Megan Granado hit an RBI single.

Koria, Dunn and Urbany recorded RBIs in the second to extend the lead to 7-0.

Granado, who went three-for-three, recorded her second RBI of the game in the bottom of the fourth. A single to right field scored Dunn from third and Rachel Moore would come around for the 10th run of the game.

ENMU added a double in the fifth before Urbany closed the game out by inducing a grounder to third.

The Rambelles will have a midweek doubleheader with No. 5 St. Mary's in San Antonio starting at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
