"It was a great team win," Angelo State head women's basketball coach Kevin Baker said. "WT has such a good program and to be able to beat them is really something special. I think our team will remember this one for a really long time."

A 21-8 run that spanned the entire third quarter trimmed the Belles lead down to one after a jumper by WT's Zantaya Davis at 51-50. Dorsey made sure it wasn't the last points of the quarter rebounding a miss of her own 3-pointer to hit a jumper in the paint and take 53-50 score into the fourth quarter.

Davis was fouled but missed the free throw. ASU took the ball down the court with 42 seconds to go but WT got a steal and called a time out with 30 seconds to go.
WT's Sasha Watson took the ball out of the timeout and tried to create in the lane but was called for a charge to give the ball back to ASU with just 14 second left. Mitchell hit one-of-two free throws to give ASU the lead with 12 second to go. The game-tying three pointer was off the mark and Christina Robinson secured the upset with a pair of the free throws for the final score of 69-64.
"I thought we played really good defense and we took care of the ball," Baker said. "Even though they were able to make that run to get back in the game, we were able to hit clutch shot after clutch shot down the stretch."
