CANYON, Texas – The Angelo State University Belle soccer team fell to West Texas A&M on Thursday evening, 4-1.

In Case You Missed It:

• The Lady Buffs came out quick, notching a goal in the first five minutes of the game to lead 1-0.
• West Texas's momentum continued as Hannah Kelley-Lusk planted two goals in under two minutes to push the WT lead to 3-0.
• In the final six minutes of the first half, Trenadey Scott passed to Maddi Kyle who pushed the ball up to Gabby Villagrand in the crease and placed the ball in the net to put ASU on the board and trail 3-1 heading into the half.
• In the second half, the Belles struggled to find momentum as they fell 4-1.
• The Belles outshot the Lady Buffs, 18-11, with seven landing on target.

Key Players:

• Villagrand scored the lone goal for the Belles and recorded one shot with one on goal.
• Avery McNeme notched five shots with three landing on target while Scott and Valerie Solis had three shots but Solis had one on goal.
• Mia Czarnecki and Chloe Souza each had two shots while Ally Warren and Cassidy Hill notched one shot and one on goal.
