SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State University women's soccer team fell to Texas A&M University-Commerce on a cold and rainy Thursday night, 1-0.

The Belles fall to 10-3-1 overall and 6-2-1 in Lone Star Conference action.

In Case You Missed It:

Both teams got off to a slow start, as they both took shots and struggled to hit the goal. Both teams registered three shots on goal in the first half.
In the 40^th minute, ASU fouled giving the Lions a penalty kick which they converted into a goal, giving TAMUC a 1-0 lead to end the first half.
In the second half, it was a defensive battle as neither team was able to find the goal and the Lions claimed the victory, giving the Belles their second loss in conference play.
ASU owned a majority of the shots in the second half, outshooting the Lions 10-1 with four shots landing on target.

Key Players:

Trenadey Scott led the offense with four shots and three shots landing on goal while Madison Stokes notched three shots.
Chloe Souza recorded two shots with both landing on target while Avery McNeme and Maddi Kyle each tallied two shots with one landing on goal.
Gabby Villagrand and Tristen Morris also contributed to the offense with one shot.
In goal, Kira Miller registered three saves while Jen Peters of Texas A&M-Commerce stopped seven shots.
