ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – A last second three-pointer by
Ronald Bell to force an overtime, helped the Angelo State University men's basketball team defeat the Sonoma State University SeaWolves in its season opener, 82-78.
The Rams start the season off 1-0.

- The Rams claimed its first lead of the game on a three-point shot by Collin Turner to lead, 5-3 just three minutes into the first half.
- Both teams traded off the lead throughout the duration of the first half but the SeaWolves grabbed the edge heading into halftime, 30-28.

- Angelo State grabbed its first lead of the second half in overtime at 78-75 and earned the victory, 82-78.

- Andres Ibarguen earned his first career double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
- Bell led all scorers with 20 points, while Jeremy Hayes had 19 and Collin Turner had 17.
- As a team, the Rams shot 44.1 percent from the floor, 38.5 percent from beyond the arc, and 71.4 percent from the line.
