CANYON – The Angelo State men's basketball team lost to West Texas A&M 89-69 Thursday evening to fall to 9-4 in Lone Star Conference play on the season.
Despite all ten players who saw playing time scoring, only Ronald Bell found his way into double figures with 16 points and seven rebounds on the evening. Antonio Singleton and Paul Williams each had nine points and Marcel Pettway had eight points and nine rebounds. Josh Boutte also posted 10 rebounds in just 20 minutes on the floor.
The Rams struggled throughout, shooting just 39 percent from the field and committing 28 turnovers while allowing the Buffs to shoot 53 percent from the field.
The team will be in action again on Saturday as they travel to Eastern New Mexico to face the Greyhounds.
