SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State women's tennis team defeated Oklahoma Baptist 4-0 Saturday afternoon at home to move to 7-2 on the season.

At number two doubles, Zoe Gubbels and Virginie Becht won 6-1, and at number three doubles, Lucie Maitrot and Maria Delgadillo won 6-0. The number one doubles match involving the team of Valentina Gonzalez and Ena Ovcina was still playing at the conclusion of the other matches.

At number two singles, Ena Ovcina won 6-4, 6-1. At number five singles, Zoe Gubbels won 6-4, 6-1 and at number six singles, Lucie Maitrot won 6-1, 6-2. All other matches were ongoing when the Belles clinched.

The Belles will be in action again this coming weekend as they travel to Wichita Falls, Texas for a tournament hosted by Midwestern State University.
